Customize Discover Weekly's Input Genres

From my understanding the new tracks added weekly to the native Discover Weekly playlist, is based on some complicated algo, that tries to learn what music the user listen to on average. The problem is a user may go through phases, like one week OD on DubStep, next week it's mostly Alt-Rock.

For me personally, my DW has been nothing but trash for months! I have tried to manually 'remove from likes' feature but that has done nothing.

I think it would be really great if there was a global setting, as part of a user's profile, or a sub-setting as part of Discovery Weekly's list settings, to manually tell Spotify what genres I want to 'discover.'

Example:

"Favorite Genres: Ambient, Tavern Lute, Progressive Trance"

I second this. I want to let the platform know about at least 2-3 genres I am tied up with right now, and then the other ones can be automatically added. But let me get discovered weekly lists made using the genres I want, please! I would say that the genre needs to be put in by the time you run the stored procedure/job that generates the lists, or if you add a genre queue, it's up to run that evening (local time).
