[Developer] Add "Moods" on the DJ AI

where the DJ can ask you on any specific genre or mood you want to here on that moment. the DJ is fine and all but if want to rely on the AI to manage my music it should first need to know what I want to hear on that moment not just get random song on what I always play. It will prompt the user if your feeling adventurous and give more new song that acutes to this song that his/her listening to but also or if you feel a bit mellow dramatic where you want to hear sad songs or when you want to go on focus mode and play lofi songs. For the AI just assuming the song won't really cut it as the users have a mood on that moment. The AI should help the mood of the user and caters to what he wants to hear. just giving random music that the user listen to can give a disconnect.

First of all, I want to say how much I appreciate the DJ experience you've created. It's a brilliant way to rediscover old favorites, explore similar artists, and enjoy a dynamic playlist without needing to curate it manually. However, I believe the next evolution of this feature could be even more powerful: voice-controlled interaction.

The idea:

Allow users to interact with the DJ using natural voice commands to shape their listening session in real time. For example:

“Play soft rock songs from the early 2000s.”

“I’m in the mood for chill reggae like what I listened to last weekend.”

“Give me mellow tracks from this artist, not their heavier ones.”

“Start with upbeat indie, then shift into relaxing lo-fi beats.”

Rather than just relying on past listening behavior, users could actively express what they feel like hearing, combining mood, genre, artist preferences, or even specific time periods.

Why it matters:

This would turn Spotify DJ from a smart assistant into a true musical companion — one that listens as much as it suggests. It adds emotional depth, control, and greater connection to the experience.

Technically feasible:

With current voice recognition and natural language processing technologies, plus Spotify's excellent recommendation engine, I believe this integration is very achievable.

> I’d love for Spotify DJ to take a step further by letting users describe what kind of music they want for a specific session — not just based on past listening, but based on current mood, activity, vibe, or energy level. Like a text prompt telling the DJ how we feel right now or only which specific type if music we wanna listen to right now that matches our mood better. More music will be heard if it fits the vibe perfectly.

For example, imagine being able to say:

“Play chill 2000s pop-rock with nostalgic vibes.”

“Give me dark cinematic trap beats like I’m in a movie.”

“I want upbeat indie music for a morning walk.”

“I’m feeling heartbroken, give me emotional acoustic songs.”

“Hey DJ, I’m feeling low right now and it’s night. Can you play some slow music or songs?”

These kinds of natural-language commands would make the DJ feel more like a real AI music assistant — like talking to a human DJ who understands your vibe.

Right now, Spotify DJ is great at curating based on listening history and genre — but adding this feature would allow users to guide the session emotionally and situationally in real time.

Please consider adding a way for users to type or speak their current vibe or mood. It would make the DJ experience feel more personal, more responsive, and much more immersive. 🙌
