Discover and share podcasts with Spotify kids app

The reason I purchased a Spotify family account was to let my kids listen to age appropriate podcasts. Unfortunately, parents can only share music with their kids through the Spotify kids app. Please add the ability for kids to discover age appropriate podcasts and for parents to share podcasts just like we can with music.

It would be great if this was implemented also for managed accounts in the regular Spotify app, not just Spotify kids app. It is annoying as a parent not being able to share a playlist with age appropriate content just because it is a podcast…

My kids listen to nighttime meditation podcasts such as Bedtime explorers to help them sleep at night. Unfortunately podcasts aren’t available in the Spotify kids app. Including ones approved by parents. 

I think it would be a good idea to allow podcasts when approved by the parent just as you can approve additional music. 

I feel like letting the kids have a free space to explore within set boundaries is a good thing. But it should be able to include podcasts like fact detectives, wow in the world, imagine neighborhood, & bedtime explorers. This are all podcasts that my children love and are absolutely appropriate for them. However the only way I can give them access to it is via the regular Spotify app, which allows far more access than is safe.  I’m sure I’m not the only parent with this issue. Is this something else others would want?

There are many content appropriate podcasts for kids already available on Spotify, add them to Spotify Kid. It makes no sense that kids can listen to books and songs about religion or listen to books like Captain Underpants, but podcasts like Story Pirates (the songs are already available to kids, why not the podcast?), But Why?: A Podcast for Curious Kids, Brains On! Science Podcast for Kids, Geeking Out From NatGeo Kids and so many more are not available. Please, please, please add kid centered podcasts to Spotify Kids!

I literally just “upgraded” to the family plan so my kids could explore music AND podcasts. I’m really disappointed they have no way to listen to podcasts that are literally designed for kids and are already available on Spotify. Please add podcasts or at least the ability for parents to share podcasts on a playlist!

Agreed. I changed to the Premium Family subscription so my child could listen to music and the Circle Round podcast in their own app, and instead found no podcast access in Spotify Kids and Spotify-curated religious playlists that I can't block without going though each individual song to block it.

I want to download podcasts for my son to listen to in the kids app from our iPad so it frees up my Spotify to listen to my own things on a long haul flight. What’s the point in the family plan if the whole family can’t actually use it?!
