Feature Idea: Select & Delete Multiple Songs in Playlists

Hey Spotify Team & Community! 👋

As someone who loves creating playlists on Spotify, I’ve always felt it’s a bit tricky when I want to remove multiple songs at once. Right now, we can only delete songs one by one, which takes a lot of time if the playlist is long. 😅

So, I came up with an idea:

  • Add a Select option next to each song

  • 🗑️ Let users delete all selected songs with one click

  • Make playlist management faster and simpler

Hi barrr999

If you edit your playlists using the desktop webplayer or web App you can block select.

Click on the first song you want to highlight then shift+down arrow (or up)

Once selected you can right click to remove from playlist. Not only that you can open another playlist in an extra webplayer to swipe the block to another playlist

You are right. This will save you heaps of time.

Using mulitple webplayers is a function no other streaming platform can do

Thanks Spotify

FYI this Bikini Trill album is a nice listen. Indie Rock, polyrhythmic flows, with splashes of reggae

The method mentioned above works well, but you can also take it one step further, holding shift to click will select all songs between the two songs you clicked on, if you use ctrl+click to select songs, you can select multiple that aren't in a row as well. If you have big enough playlists to find this needed, you can log in to a web browser and do it there 🙂
