Followers Only Playlist Visibility Option

I am an eclectic listener who loves music based on lyrics and emotion rather than rhythm or genre. I use Spotify daily to discover honest, heartfelt songs across all styles. For me, music has to make me feel something. It is how I express myself, how I process the world, and how I connect with others.

While I enjoy curating playlists and discovering what Spotify recommends through features like Daily Mixes and Discover Weekly, I also care deeply about my privacy. At the moment, playlists can only be fully private or fully public. That does not reflect how many of us experience music. It is deeply personal, and I want to share it only with the people I trust.

I would love the ability to make a playlist visible only to my Spotify followers. These are people I have chosen to share with because they understand how much music means to me.

As a proud Leo woman and devoted music lover, I share music with heart and intention. Please consider adding a followers only visibility option for playlists. This feature would give listeners more control over how we connect through music and would support those of us who treat it as a powerful form of self-expression.

Thank you for continuing to create a space that celebrates individuality, emotion, and the soul of music.

I completely agree! Just like how we control who sees our posts on other platforms, we should be able to decide who gets access to the playlists that reflect our inner worlds. There should be visibility options for playlists—public, mutual or approved followers only, or fully private.

Personally, I don't use "Liked Songs" or Spotify-generated playlists. I need to sit with songs for a while before I grow attached, so I organize them into personal playlists filled with tracks I'm playing on repeat at the time. They often have quirky names, curated cover photos.

That’s why I’d love the option to share some of these lists.

Spotify already gives us private sessions and the ability to hide recently played artists. If we can shield our real-time listening habits, why shouldn’t we have the same control over the playlists we make that we listen to real-time? Or limit them to only our friends?
