Free audiobook listening time for all Premium members

While I'm grateful for the move to bring audiobooks to Spotify, the exclusive benefit of free audiobooks for the "plan manager" in duo and family memberships seems unjust. It diminishes the premium experience for other members who pay the same amount as their friends and family but don't enjoy the full premium benefits.

I acknowledge the cost-effectiveness of duo and family memberships, but the solution to a fairer listening experience could be to distribute the 15 hours among all members in your party. This way, duo members, for instance, would get 7.5 hours free—a reasonable compromise for the reduced cost.

It ensures fairness to all users and gives users the option to customise their audiobook time based on their plan size and budget.

Agreed.  Spotify, if you're listening, you might actually make more money by allowing the premium audiobook access to all members of the duo/family plans.  I would gladly pay the "top-up" charge if my family plan maxed out the first 15 hours.  Just a thought: several million people paying more money per month and being happy than begrudgingly not paying for 3-4 individual premium plans and figuring out another way to listen to audiobooks.

This is 100% an issue, most definitely misleading when promoting the Duo "premium" membership. I thought Spotify was supposed to be "top tier" for audio entertainment. I understand all companies, even billion dollar businesses are all about money but to completely mislead people into purchasing memberships thinking they would be getting essentially a deal on 2 premium accounts is another low. Do better Spotify, or someone else will!

I also agree that everyone on the Family Premium plan should have access to the Audiobooks!

Our kids really like the books and want to continue listening to them when the primary subscriber is not around. They should be able to listen on their own iPads or on the devices of the other household adults who care for them.

If this isn’t changed, I will subscribe to Audible instead of Spotify because their platform is easily coordinated across different platforms.

Thanks for considering!

Come on Spotify, figure this out! You are forcing me back to Audible. Is it really that hard to share Audiobooks in a premium family plan? I mean give so many hours as part of the plan and then require the top up (silly name) or whatever, so we can purchase more hours. Just let my family listen to audiobooks as part of the plan!! Thank you!

Please make it accessible to all users on the plan. Or make it easier to switch plan managers. This is ridiculous.

At a minimum, Spotify should allow the Plan Manager to assign audiobook time amounts to the other users in the account, just like I can restrict explicit material to my children.

Do the votes even get updated?? I've had three or four people vote and no change to the number -  still 82 🙄
