Gapless playback on tesla spotify app

On the Tesla Spotify app, if you play an album that has transitions between songs the latest version of the app has about a half second to one second delay before playing the next song. It looks like no preloading is happening on the app

Tesla support says Spotify needs to enable gapless playback on their side to have the feature.

This has been broken for a year now (reported this around 04-2024 to Tesla). The impact is that a large amount of music has become unbearable to listen to. Classical music, DJ sets, concept albums from Pink Floyd to Dream Theater, etc now have breaks every few minutes, right in the middle of songs (when the track changes). This makes Spotify useless for listening to those albums in a Tesla.

Note that for most pop-music this is hardly noticable, since most songs are confined to a single track.

Since this functionality disappeared it’s made listening to full albums so unpleasant. 
Most of the albums I listen to, the songs lead into each other.

I've also had the issue since mid 2024. Makes listening to pink Floyd or Hamilton very frustrating.  Verified to not work on 2019 model 3, 2020 Model Y, and 2023 Model X.
