Ignore same aongs

I’m sure you’ve made a playlist somewhere in your life. But when you want to add a whole album to your playlist, Spotify doesn’t care whether you already have a particular song in that playlist or not, so you can end up with multiple copies of the same song.

What I have in mind is a feature where Spotify would automatically ignore duplicate songs if they already exist in the playlist.

If you still don’t get what I mean, here’s an SQL line that might help explain the idea:

INSERT INTO Playlist2

SELECT songs

FROM Playlist1

WHERE NOT EXISTS (

SELECT 1

FROM Playlist2

WHERE Playlist2.songs = Playlist1.songs

);
