Liked songs and saved songs should be different

Hi Team,

I’d like to suggest a feature that allows users to "like" individual songs within an album without automatically adding them to their overall saved songs library. This would help keep saved songs more curated, while still allowing users to mark their favorite tracks within an album. It would also make it easier to revisit an album and instantly see which songs stood out to them.

I think exclaty like this, we should be abble to check our favorites and see visible the favorite ones we marked  like with a Star or something else but the currently way things work kinda make the "favorite"  obsolet cuz we are almost forced to save all the songs from a álbum o even when we put on playlist the songs are marked making almost impossible to visualize the favorites one.

Yes- If I want to save a song to listen to it later, its a pain clicking the add, then clicking it again, removing it from liked songs and adding it to a different playlist. Pressing the add button should just open the options page for which playlist you'd like to add it to.

This has frustrated me ever since the ❤️ button got changed to a button, but I keep forgetting to submit feedback. I searched the index, and a lot of the other threads are complaining that saving an album automatically likes the tracks - but I'm having the opposite issue. This thread seems to be the best fit - so I'll bump it.

At the moment, *saving* a playlist or album to your library, or adding a track to a playlist in your library, causes every track to have a next to it on Desktop/iPhone App. My brain reads this as "You've liked this track" - especially since hovering over a not-liked track says "Add to your Liked Tracks". For example, if you're listening to a radio - you have the option to (hide) or  (add to liked tracks). However, the tick does not represent that you've liked the track - it means "This song is in your library". The issue: if I encounter a new track that is already ticked, I will think it's already in my liked tracks and consequently not-like it.

The problem recurs because I have playlists like Discover Weekly "saved to my library", as well as "Shazam Tracks", "New Releases", public playlists, etc. This means that all these new/never-before-listened-to songs are already ticked, and I either think I've already liked them - or I am forced to go through the effort of right-clicking (and whatever you call the mobile equivalent of right-clicking).

The current button should really say "Add to Library (Default: Liked Tracks)", but what I want is the ❤️ button back as a separate button to the add-to-library button (which I would personally almost never use, tbh - honestly, I find Spotify's "Library" UX is awful, and it annoys me everytime it defaults back to library view from playlist view). Especially on mobile, where I want to be able to quickly tap the like button (e.g. while driving).
