Make it easier and faster to add a song to a specific playlist

Hi, I’d like to suggest a small improvement for the app. When you’re discovering new music (like in playlists, radios or recommendations) and you find a song you like, adding it to a specific playlist takes a few too many steps.

Right now you have to tap the three dots, then “Add to playlist”, and then choose the playlist. Sometimes it just gets saved to “Liked Songs”, but that’s not always what you want.

It would be great if by long-pressing the “+” or “Save” button, a quick menu popped up so you could choose which playlist to add it to. Something faster, with fewer taps.

Even better if we could set a default or favorite playlist, so that long-pressing would instantly save the song to that one.

I think this would really improve the user experience, especially when you’re listening to music while doing other things and don’t want to miss the moment.

Thanks for reading 🙂

As someone who builds all my own playlists, I really dislike the quick add to "liked songs". Perhaps it would be better to have your entire playlist menu popup when you click the quick add. Because I have so many playlists, the "auto adding" messes me up.

I was about to make the same recommendation! Both the pop-up and auto-add features should be available. However, these options must be configurable in settings to suit individual preferences. Most of my listening falls into jazz (for jazz studies) and gym playlists. Therefore, when discovering new jazz tracks, I want them to automatically save to my jazz playlist without extra steps—same for gym tracks. This customization is essential for a streamlined user experience.
