More podcast video on Spotify - Remove/Reduce roadblocks for video podcast uploading easier

I genuinely prefer watching video podcasts on Spotify over YouTube. The viewing experience on Spotify is smoother, cleaner, more integrated, can run in the background, and has way less ads.

I have noticed a good increase in video podcasts that started at the beginning of this year (2025) but there are still many podcasters who haven't yet uploaded video yet.

I’ve learned this is largely because creators face roadblocks like limited hosting options, high production demands, and lack of support for video uploads outside specific platforms. I'd love to see Spotify remove these barriers and make it easier for more podcasters to publish video content—whether by expanding platform support, simplifying the upload process, or offering creator tools to reduce friction.

This would be a win for both listeners and creators. Spotify really has a great opportunity to drive more traffic to their platform (and away from YouTube) if there were less roadblocks for podcasters. If you enjoy watching podcasts on Spotify too, please upvote this idea!
