PLEASE stop adding podcasts to queues. Just STOP.

When I listen to podcasts, I don't want it to go on to the next episode. Usually it is older or I've already listened to it. I just want the current podcast to STOP. I have other shows I may want to listen to, in no particular order, and want to select it myself.

However, Spotify does not allow this; all podcast episodes are automatically populated with about a dozen or so more episodes in the queue. I can't turn this feature off. I can delete the queue, manually, but it just populates itself again.

This is SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING I cannot tell you how irksome it is. "Normal" podcast players don't do anything close to this behavior.

PLEASE add the ability to turn off auto-population of podcast queues without any other stupid manual steps from me if I am listening to my New Episodes feed. I see requests for this in the support FAQ going back nearly four years and no one has ever addressed it. I'm BEGGING. Thank you.

I agree! I’ve had enough of it. I like to set up a queue of episodes of my favourite podcasts.  Once I’ve finished I want the session to end but Spotify keeps adding random episodes that I haven’t selected or downloaded. It’s so frustrating! I never used to have this issue. Please fix this problem Spotify!

I just manually deleted 200 episodes of a podcast from my queue, and it keeps automatically re-adding all 200 episodes back. I'm going to scream.

I don't have autoplay on, and I marked all episodes as finished just to try to get them out of my feed

I want Spotify to exclusively play podcasts that I have chosen. Sometimes a new podcast will begin playing which I have not selected. I want to prevent this. I can search for and select the podcast I choose and do not want to have suggestions of similar shows to play automatically.

I have this too and the only reason I'm not rage-quitting and moving to another music / podcast subscription service is because I'm on a family plan and my wife / children would lose their playlists.

It is impossible for me to describe in words how much my hatred of spotify is increasing due to being randomly being confronted by this sort of "user-friendly" intended but randomly popping up behaviours.

It behaved fine, for months.
And now it does this. Doubly pissing me off because it distracts terribly while listening to podcasts and driving.

Just take some responsibility and DON'T F-ING DO THIS, Spotify,
just don't.

And regression test for autoplay behaviours like this. I checked, in all instances of the app I'm using.
Autoplay similar content is OFF for me, everywhere.

Sincerely, I hate you, fix this and it might change,
Michiel

I can't describe how frustrating it is not having control of the playlist. I hate that podcasts, not selected by me, are added to the queue and I just can't get rid of them, as they keep coming back. This seriously affects my experience as a user. I would really appreciate an option to opt out of auto-adding podcasts or at least manage my queue without constant interference.

If I click one episode of a podcast, I want to listen to that one episode. I should not have to remove the creator's entire line-up from a queue. Ever.

This makes me nuts. I listen to a news podcast. I click on one episode and Spotify queues 20 episodes to queue. Many are pretty old (month ago). How on earth did I want to hear that?

Furthermore, Spotify also add many episodes already listened before. Stupid Spotify, you should at least add some new ones. The auto queue is just STUPID.
