Please bring back preview button

Please bring back the triangular song preview button back. It was a really important part of my listening experience in Spotify. As an autistic Spotify user that change really changed my listening experience in Spotify bad. And Spotify is one of the only things that is capable of keeping me call when I need to be. Now that one of my favorite features is gone my experience has drastically worsened

Thank you for coming to the Spotify Community with your idea. In order to research your concern I learnt something new today. Who said you can't teach an OG new tricks. 

Access the preview function by clicking on the image next to the play button of any playlist. Using the desktop app or the web player you can preview the first 20 songs of any playlist. You can use keyboard shortcuts (arrows) down (next), up (prev), left (add to liked songs) & right (add to queue).

The desktop preview functionality is limited however, THE MOBILE APP PREVIEW FUNCTIONALITY IS MAGICAL. In the first image I have webplayers left and right. The Mobile App mid left and the Desktop App mid right. I'm using a free program 'scrcpy' to mirror my Mobile to my desktop using a USB cable. I can operate my phone by clicking and swiping using my computer mouse. As if I was touching or swiping on my screen. 

Using the mobile app I was able to preview the entire playlist of my playlist 'New gemZ' (100 tracks). There is no swipe right or left functionality (yet). Swipe up for next and down for previous.

The real magic happens, in the mobile app, when you get through the playlist. A new menu appears "Explore more genres". Now when you swipe left or right you move through various genres. Up and down to the next or previous tracks of that genre.

Hey tunedIN, I think the OP meant the 15 second previews you'd get when you open the playlist with Spotify Free on mobile phones, I have the same problem with it being removed 😞

Although the canvas previews, that you've mentioned, can be good if you want to listen to an entire playlist's previews, you can't get it for liked songs (see attached) and you can't select an individual song to preview (like I have playlists with hundreds of songs).

Before you could just click on the song to preview it. Now it's updated so, if you click on it, the entire song is played (assuming it doesn't plat an ad then forget what it was meant to play). I can't screenshot how it used to look like (it would be like a rounded rectangle for each song when you could preview but not play the full song) but it's now like this as attached:

Thanks for that. I never considered how the free version has been affected. In the paid version the 'preview button' next to 'play', will preview each track for 15 seconds
