Remember the previous position on the discography page

On the desktop app:

1. Enter the artist page and scroll down to the Discography section - click View all

2. Scroll far down Discography page, click to view an album you find interesting

3. IDEA: When you click the back button (arrow back) remember/stay on the previous position of the Discography page instead of being automatically moved to the top

(The above seems to still work fine on the Featured/Appears On (not sure of what it's called in English) page)

Hi, I voted for this!
I have posted a similar idea with the artist Moby as a reference.
However, I would like to point out that if I search for another artist, namely Steve Jablonsky (try it!) the back button works fine!
When you scroll down some albums/singles on Moby, it only works at the top 2020-2023 but not older.

  • Moby has over 200 albums/singles/EPs (1991-2023)
  • Steve Jablonsky has 30 albums/singles/EPs

Seems like the program (Spotify) can't cope with Moby's amount.

When on an artists page and scrolling through their
discography, upon selecting an album and returning out of that album, Spotify takes you back to the top of their discography. This is very frustrating as you lose your place in their discography.
It is especially frustrating when an artist has a large discography and you keep having to scroll down to find where you were.
