Remove “new episode” blue dot when a channel is opened and new episode is viewed

This is specific to Apple IOS. When on the Home view, there is a small blue dot beside podcasts which have new episodes that haven’t been viewed. Sometimes a show will release an episode that doesn’t interest me so I won’t watch it, but that blue dot will stay there until I open the episode, jump to the very end, and let the video end and roll to the next piece of content. I find this is super annoying and don’t like it so I wanted to give feedback as a longtime customer. I’ve tried opening the most recent episodes, playing it briefly and then pausing and exiting but that doesn’t seem to work. Perhaps adding an item to the long press options to “mark as viewed” or removing the blue dot when the podcast channel is opened even when the newest episodes haven’t been watched. Either way just my feedback. Thanks!
