Remove the new “Resuming (insert playlist/ song here)“ feature

The feature is not only annoying it’s broken and if you search on Reddit about the new feature you will see it’s very unpopular and I’m not the only one with this complaint.
When you resume playing from Spotify in a car, it has a 3-second A.I. voice saying “Resuming (insert song or playlist.”

Its annoying that you cant just go back to listening to your music, BUT also it turns off shuffle and repeat. So if you were shuffling a playlist or album you have to go back to the app and turn it on again.

If spotify is going to keep this feature it would be great to have a setting to turn it off or on because a lot of people agree its really annoying.

Still waiting for this awful feature to go away. I'm cancelling my subscription at the end of the next month if we're still being blatantly ignored. Spotify is really showing that they do not care for their community whatsoever.

This is a genuinely terrible feature. All of their AI features are just awful actually. This, "smart shuffle" etc. It's fine if they want this feature as a part of their service, but they should be optional. Give me a way to turn them off. I listen to a streaming service because I DON'T want to hear people talking in between music. This defeats that purpose. I may switch to another music streaming service if this isn't removed soon.

the voice narrating "Resuming [insert playlist title]" is annoying but I can live with it. The disabling Shuffle and Repeat is infuriating! How did that pass Quality Assurance?!

I freakin hate this feature. What is the g-d point?!

The_Mustache

I am considering cancelling my subscription that I have had for the past 4 years because of how annoying this is.  It unshuffles my playlist, turns off loop, and starts from the beginning of my playlist, interrupting the song I'm currently playing as well as destroying my shuffled queue.  Please add an option to turn this "feature" off.

How could such a terrible decision like this even make it to the official app? A single test group of customers would quickly tell you to at least give the ability to disable it. Maybe one day this company gets legitimate competition and a reason to improve..

No response from Spotify after 1 month. Unacceptable.

I've uninstalled the Spotify app and am officially switching to YT Music.

I've been using Spotify since its beta days, when you could only get in by invite. There's been a lot of nonsense over the years, but this is by far the stupidest addition, and one of the most exasperating changes made to the app. Why turn off shuffle, or resume in a completely different playlist? Truly, Spotify staff, all I want to do is listen to my own playlists, how I want to, when I want to. We don't need any features changing the user settings. Please, allow the ability to disable this.

This new AI voice added to tell me what I already know I’m listening to makes me want to go back to Apple Music

Its absolutely god awful. I know what I was playing, I dont need it to tell me. Also its automatically turning off shuffle. Please remove this feature or allow us to disable it.
