Sequential Shuffle Feature

My name is Pujyank, and I am a student as well as an enthusiastic user of Spotify. I am writing to share an idea for a potential feature that I believe could enhance the listening experience for many users like myself.

Often, when users add new songs to their Liked Songs or personal playlists, they tend to place these newly added tracks at the top of the list, reflecting their current interests and preferences. However, when using the standard shuffle feature, songs are randomly selected from the entire playlist — including older tracks that may not align with the user's present mood.

To address this, I would like to suggest a new feature called "Sequential Shuffle". When enabled, this mode would shuffle songs primarily from the most recently added tracks — for example, the top 20 songs in a playlist or the top of the Liked Songs list. This would allow users to enjoy a more relevant shuffle experience that aligns with their recent music tastes.

This feature could complement the existing "Repeat" playlist, which highlights frequently played songs overall, by offering a focused shuffle from the latest additions.
