State clearly which audiobooks are full length and which are abridged

Some audiobooks are very clearly shortened: after all, David Niven isn't around to re-record a full length version of The Moon's a Balloon.  But on Spotify there are a very large number of audiobooks--perhaps as many as half those available on Premium--which have been shortened by as much as a third or a half.  This is not always obvious unless you know the print length of the original book.  Audible's versions of these books are not shortened in this way.  Spotify should state clearly if an audiobook is abridged.

I noticed that while alternatively listening to and reading a book, I was missing passages in the audiobook that I read in the text. Further investigation revealed the audiobook to be abridged. In fact, the listening time shown on Spotify is about 1/3 the listed listening time on Audible. The book in question is George Washington: A Life by Ron Chernow. I believe this has happened to me previously but I just chalked it up to not concentrating to what I was listening to/being distracted. I feel that abridged versions of audiobooks should be disclosed.

I completely agree.  I don't understand why there isn't more fuss about this. It means that comparisons between Audible and Spotify are not on a clear playing field, if Audible offer unabridged versions, and Spotify only offer abridged, and DON'T TELL USERS THEY'RE ABRIDGED then we're not comparing like with like.  I tried to raise this with Spotify Chat but they just tried to blame the publishers, which is nonsense.
