There needs to be a way for users to remove video and podcast suggestions.

I know with music there is an option to “remove from taste profile” or to not play particular artists but this does not seem to be an option for videos or podcasts.

TW: I attached the photo at the bottom of this post so if you don’t like scary images scroll past that!

I received several suggestions last week to watch a video about a girl who dated a pedophile, it’s not explicit but I do not want suggestions like that.

Tonight I opened my app to play something while I got ready for bed and on the main screen there was a video suggestion with a terrifying image as the cover photo. It was honestly a super intense and unwelcome jump scare. I do not enjoy horror and I don’t interact with any content like this so I don’t know why it popped up as a recommendation but it was really upsetting and there is no way to remove it from my home screen or suggestions.

i totally agree with this.

why dont stay as music player and trying so hard to use short videos and reels just like other?

initially we use spotify to enjoy music to avoid visual distraction.

Now this? common Spotify, be more innovative dont be a blunt follower and losing your identity

I don't understand why Spotify makes such an unnecessary decisions all the time. They don't let us change the homescreen, they don't let us mute singers we don't want, the Shuffle algorithm sucks...

I don't understand what the price increase was for if nothing changes to make the experience better.

Now with the music video option that you can't turn off for children, Spotify are ramming this down our throats a little too much for my tastes.

Spotify say you cannot limit a fourteen year old on their app but allow po..rn podcasts, this is not only twisted and immoral but also heavily illegal in most countries.

If anyone wants to make a difference on the videos issue report them to trading standards for exposing children to **bleep** (I have) . Stop barking and grow some teeth then they may begin to care and listen.

I agree. Spotify should stay a music streaming serivce, maybe podcasts if you're into that. All in all, it's for listening, for our ears. There shouldn't be any visuals except artworks for albums and maybe photos of artists.
To OP: Please consider moving the suggestion you got into a spoiler. The text for me was way more disturbing than the image.

This is absolutely ridiculous that we have to endure mindless videos that my kids can see when they open up the app. The content is inappropriate, and wasn't there is no way to turn it off. I will be looking for another music service.
