Toggleable UI pane sides left/right in ipadOS etc.

The new random update puts the "Now Playing" on the right, instead of the left, leaving right handed users to have to use their left to select a song/playlist from the library. 

Having the righthanded/lefthanded option in the settings to switch this, instead of being baked in to the new update would make for a better user experience, more streamlined and more in keeping with previous versions usability.  

(Idea suggested by my 16 year old autistic son who has had a number of meltdowns over the UI update on his iPad, and I totally agree with his take on having the side  toggleable)

PLEASE change the ui back, the mew one is so dysfunctional and its not use-able at alll, i beg of you, i pay for premium please change it back so you can minimise the now playing tab, the new one takes too much space and its so useless

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Spotify is often testing and launching improvements and new features.

This means you might see something on the app that your friend doesn’t, or get a new feature to try temporarily. In addition, I’d recommend creating a new Idea about this here. Make sure to share it as it will eventually reach Spotify teams, depending on the amount of votes it gets.

It looks like at least for my account, that they rolled back this UI change. It’s definitely an improvement in my opinion. Click the now playing bar and it takes you to the full screen album art or canvas video like we are used to seeing. I hope this stays permanent or that you continue to improve this particular layout.

On my tablet, Spotify now shows the new layout where the Now Playing screen takes up half of the screen.I really prefer the previous version with the small bottom playback bar-the new layout feels uncomfortable and takes too much space.Is this change temporary or permanent? Could you please consider adding an option to switch back to the old view for users who prefer it?

Hi all. Yesterday I have upgraded to Family Premium from Duo. I've added my son (standard member, not kids member) as a member. It's all listed correctly in my managed members section, the address is also confirmed.

On iPad however, the app layout looks completely different when switching between my account and the account of my son (premium family member)!

On my account, I have a bottom bar with Start, Search, Library, Create. On the right side of the app is the song artwork, information and lyrics in a sidebar.

Switching to my sons account, the sidebar moves from the RIGHT side to the LEFT side. The bottom bar disappears completely. There are NO lyrics anymore. When clicking on the songs artwork I get the blackscreen issue that is a hot bug/topic on this forum.

So the question is obvious, how can I set the layout to the same working layout?

It's the same ipad, confirmed the issue on a second ipad with account switching as well. reinstalled the app, etc.

Please help. I haven't found any similar issue on the net.

New version has the current song playing taking up way too much room on a split screen. Please go back to the previous version!
