With auotmix, allow places where there isn't a transition.

Back in my day, the DJ might switch things up in a way that didn't need or use a transition. Sometimes, after dozens of tracks, they'd let one jam completely stop before playing the next. It was almost like a micro break but it wasn't a situation where the crowd felt miffed. In fact, sometimes that opened us up to being more mindful of the incoming song which, if it was popular, just hyped us up.

 

Regarding Spotify, I see this as a way to get around cases where we might find it difficult to move songs that transition well adjacent to each other and instead go for a micro break if you will. It'd be as though it was a break between two tracks where the tracks are really two separate groups of mixed songs.

 

To put it simple, permit us to disable automix between any tracks.
