AI continues to be on the rise in music

I attended a panel a couple of months ago with a couple of industry veterans that discussed AI. It was concerning to hear how  essentially devalue an artists' work with just a click of a button.

There has been endless debates about AI in music amongst other industries. I don't want this post to spark another debate but just to remind folks that AI can be used in some areas but when it comes to creative industries like music, you need to protect your work/brand.

Cheers!

Meh I mean ultimately the superior product will reign triumphant (yay capital markets!) — if the algorithms that create the LLM‘s end up producing something folks prefer music wise I don’t see what’s all that wrong with that you know?

ChatGPT can’t perform live concerts if it makes ya feel any better tho 🤷‍♂️

There is so much wrong with what you said. Very narrowminded and I suggest you delve more into how generative Ai is very harmful to real artists in most creative fields, especially when the entirety of it is based on theft to replace the people that created all the content, through their own hard work and skill, that was stolen from for these Ai slop machines to even be able to function.

Hopefully you've actually done research in the year+ since you wrote that comment and don't agree with it anymore.
