Best Video Game Soundtracks (Share Yours!)

Hello Community,

I wanna start a fun thread where people can share their favorite songs from video games. In my opinion, great music in video games can transform your experience into something magical, memorable, and unforgettable.

Feel free to share yours too and have fun!

My choices:

1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

With the lively characters and environments, this song made me feel immerse while roaming the game world.

2. Final Fantasy VIII

A truly classic Final Fantasy music. Brilliant, beautiful, immersing, and pleasing to ear and soul.

3. Life is Strange: Before The Storm

Instrumental only but somehow emotional and immerse you into the game.

I definitely agree with the mention of Abzu's music earlier in this thread -- it's so good.

Mass Effect 2 remains one of my favorite games of all time and it also has a fantastic soundtrack. Just going to leave that here: 

Also, Cuphead's soundtrack is awesome. Very thematic to the game and rather unexpected! 

Finally, another soundtrack worth checking out is Celeste. I think it does a good job of blending modern with a more classic "video game" sound:

There are only a handful of games that I have played and actually payed attention to the music they add (I usually mute/play my own music anyway...but here are some greats that I've found!)

I just finished playing Yakuza: Like A Dragon and the song at the end credits is amazing.

I’ve been playing Final Fantasy VII lately, and the soundtrack really is something.  Here’s my list of favorites:

I swear I can still see the train pulling into the station and Cloud jumping off.

The industrial sounds just add to the mood of the game.

I enjoy how funny this one sounds.  Like it’s giving you a little hope in a desperate situation.

I like how it starts out miserable but then goes soothing and wistful.

Of all the songs, I think this one captures the spirit of FFVII the most.

This one plays inside of Fort Condor.  It would’ve been good for a character theme too.

I just love how barebones yet tense this one is.

And, of course, who can’t forget one of the most epic final boss themes in videogame history:

I just finished playing Death Stranding. It has amazing soundtracks especially by Low Roar and Silent Poets.

I have some favorites!

I really love the Undertale OST, it's really well crafted.

There's also the Hollow Knight OST which is absolutely beautiful.

The Celeste OST is also such an amazing OST and I highly suggest you check it out. 

And for my last favorite, Oneshot is such an amazing, underrated, game with such a beautiful atmospheric soundtrack to go with it.
