Ever thought a song sounds warm? Or makes you feel red?
Do you see yellow as soon as your favorite album from high school starts playing?
There's a lot of ways to share, experience, describe and discover music. And we'd like to start a few threads focusing on Music & Color.
How does it work?
1. Think of a song that you would associate with the color yellow.
2. Right-click the song in Spotify and click 'Copy Spotify URI'
3. Click 'Insert/edit link' in a reply to this thread
4. Paste the URI
5. Click OK
6. Go to color-hex.com.
7. Find the perfect shade of yellow to match your song.
8. Copy the hex code and paste it below the song.
We'll then build an infographic that displays the songs and colors. It's an experiment for sure, but we're curious to see how this works with all your contributions.

Never much thought about this before. When i think about yellow, it could be the sun or a desert. Then searching for a song that fits that image.
Here it is: spotify:track:10whfqU35B4c4ewnKCy33x
color: #ffd119
I often find album artwork imprints a colour palette on my brain, but with this track it's not the case! Despite the blue and orange of the cover, this song sounds bright and golden to me.

I also think of a dusty desert sun when I think yellow!
As such, I'm tempted to put up some country... But avoiding any cheese I'll go with this from the awesome west coast experimentalist Sonny Smith (whose name also fits the colour!) His body of work is generally psych/garage/eclectic, but this album is defined by gorgeous modern twists on classic country rhythms. That steel guitar is so damn dreamy.

Hum for some reason every time I heard the song - Black Hole Sun, by the band Soundgarden, either from the CD Superunknown, the local radio station or even the video on MTV, I thought of a bright high heat yellow for some reason. Even though the song is moody and somewhat depressing.

When I hear this song it takes me back to walking around Brooklyn on bright days. It's yellow for me:

For me, yellow represents joy, happiness... positiveness in general. That's the colour of the sun. But it also is orange.
So here's my Lemon Tree by Fools Garden (it can become an orange tree depending on the day).

The funny thing about Coldplay - Yellow is I could have put it in the 'bright blue' color category. Maybe that's just me.
Great shout @1164181599!
Top yellow song for me has to be... (I'm smiling already). 🙂

On this one I will be basic. Since I am a kid I have always associated yellow with summer, then I will keep with that idea for what I think is the perfect song for Yellow and for running away from the city 🙂

The Warmth of the Sun, by the Beach Boys is what popped into my head before anything else!
@Meredith, or anyone else who can help.
I have tried everything I can think of but still don't get the colour sample to display.
Any idea what I am doing wrong please? What am I missing?
