Hey folks! This thread is a home for talking about new music releases you love every Friday.
If you'd like to take a look at what Indie Albums our Community Rock Star @Soundofus recommends each week, check out his blog here: New Indie Albums worth a listen.
A new song from "El Ultimo Vecino", that will be playing in Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona:

Hello:
Just a couple of singles released in the last few days.
First up
Zakk Wylde from Black Label Society, and Ozzy Osbourne
A rather interesting Bluesy song he has going on here, looking forward to the new release Book of Shadows II as a new solo album this year.
Anyway the single Sleeping Dogs:

And up next a new single by the Industrial Metal/Rock band Filter. This new single is a bit chaotic so brace yourself, looking forward to the new release coming due April 8th.
The new single Mother E:
A couple of new releases that I got notifications for this past New Music Friday, and thought I would highlight here.
First up:
Artist: Anvil
Release: Anvil Is Anvil
Year: New February 26th.
Labels: Steamhammer
Style of Music: Metal/power/speed
Origins: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Lips and Co are at it again, and I must say this release is rather good and straight forward metal. And of course the band does the word play like they always do with their album titles. Metal music listeners probable can take this new release for a few listens and will not be disappointed.
Next up:
Artist: Voivod
Release: Post Society E.P.
Year: New February 26th
Labels: Century Media Records
Style of Music: Technical/progressive/psychedelic thrash
Origins: Jonquière, Quebec, Canada
The band seems to be harnessing some of their classic musical direction with this new E.P. I do so hope this E.P. output is a sign of a new album coming in this music direction. This music direction here with this E.P. is something that has always made the band unique in the technical thrash music scene. The Band does a fantastic cover of Hawkwind's track Silver Machine on this E.P. as well.
Thanks for the catfish one!
When will Kula Shaker - K 2.0 be added? It's been out a few weeks now and there's a couple of singles from the album already on Spotify.
hey hey!
lionlimb's shoo was also released on march 4. these guys are awesome, worth checking it out 🙂
Edit reason : link corrected to have it working
Another shame of new release : PJ Harvey is only available in UK and US. Other countries surely not good enough... pfff and better again, The Joy Formidable only available in US.
That kind of new releases that even not deserve to be talked about...
Hopefully they'll be available in all markets very soon. I still think it's a good topic for discussion and excitement that artists like PJ Harvey are releasing new music.
Of course it's a good topic 🙂
What gets me angry is to not see what is the goal to have so sectarian new releases.
Totally different to know that a new release is not available at all in streaming and to know it's partially available. US and UK are not center of the world 😄
But artists and bands have been known to do it the other way around too, release music to the European market and then have licensing issues getting the content into the U.S. and sometimes even U.K. markets. Japan is a music release nightmare getting access to some artists and their music without excessive licensing fees and/or costs for the CD releases in import forms. Only when U.S. and U.K. labels strike some sort of release deals for their markets for Japanese released material, does a good chunk of it get into the mainstream music markets. But I agree region restrictions need to go now for music, given that labels are international now.
