Rocket References

Rocket References

Here's a playlist of songs from artists that influenced Def Leppard that are referenced in the band's song, "Rocket". I am know some of the songs, but I don't know others. This is a good way, to discover some new songs. Check it out, if you like Def Leppard, don't know any Def Leppard songs, or just just want to discover songs and artists and bands that you didn't know, before.

Hi MadmanOnWheels,

Classic playlist here! Heads up that music recommendations are best suited for the Music Exchange room where you'll find many others sharing their favorites as well 🙂

Best,

Hi, Evan

Thanks

Actually, it's not for the exchange, because I'm not looking for people to share their playlists, or to add to this one. In fact, I want to avoid that. I'm not particularly making recommendations; I didn't pick the songs, because I really like them. I don't even know some of them. I had the idea, to make the playlist, because "Rocket" references other songs, and it's a cool idea that made a playlist; they were already picked. I posted it here, because people might want to discuss the main song, as well as the referenced songs and their influence on Def Leppard. And this way of making a playlist might give others ideas, about making playlists out of similar things.

Oh wow that’s a a great idea! I’ll have to take advantage of this room for something like that in the future as well - I’m still fairly new (as you can probably tell).

I wish you the best!

As of my last update in September 2021, "Rocket" is a broad term that can refer to various things in different contexts. Here are some common references to "rocket" and their meanings:

  1. Rocket (Spacecraft): A rocket is a vehicle or device designed to travel through space propelled by one or more rocket engines. Rockets are used for space exploration, satellite launches, interplanetary missions, and more.

  2. Rocket Engine: A rocket engine is a type of propulsion system that generates thrust by expelling mass at high velocity through a nozzle. There are different types of rocket engines, such as solid rocket engines and liquid rocket engines.

  3. Rocket Launch: A rocket launch refers to the event Alpha Sea Moss   of a rocket lifting off from the ground and ascending into space. Rocket launches can be conducted by space agencies, private companies, or research institutions.

  4. Model Rocket: A model rocket is a smaller, non-professional rocket used for hobby or educational purposes. Model rockets are typically made of lightweight materials and are launched for recreational purposes.

  5. Rocket Science: The phrase "rocket science" is often used colloquially to describe something very complex, challenging, or difficult to understand. It derives from the high level of technical expertise and complexity required in designing and operating rockets.

  6. Rocket League: Rocket League is a popular video game that combines soccer with rocket-powered cars. Players control the cars and use them to hit a large ball into the opposing team's goal.

  7. Rocket Mortgage: Rocket Mortgage is an online mortgage lending platform and a division of Quicken Loans. It allows individuals to apply for and secure mortgage loans entirely online.

Please note that new references or developments related to "rocket" may have occurred after my last update. Therefore, it's a good idea to verify any specific references you're interested in using up-to-date sources or conducting a relevant search........................

Hi, David

The Rocket References are of songs that the band made reference to, in "Rocket", which is the first song on the playlist.
