Share songs with soaring guitar solos

Do you like any songs that feature a “soaring” electric guitar solo? If so, feel free to share a link to the song(s), as well as to describe how or why you appreciate the guitar solo(s).

I’ll share a couple of examples from my Spotify library to start:

I really enjoy the vintage-sounding tones from the keyboard (as well as all the other instruments) during the opening section of this song by El Supremo; however, I’d say that my favorite part of all is the guitar solo that starts 3 minutes into the track and lasts for about two and a half minutes or so. The lead guitar work is just amazing for me to listen to, toned with just the right amount of fuzz, and I really get a feeling that I’m gliding through the air when I listen to it!

This song by The Marlboro Men has multiple short guitar solos interspersed throughout the track, and they sound so uplifting to me that the song always seems to put me in a better mood. The gritty chord progression from the rhythm guitar is nice and relaxed, while the bursts of lead guitar are more energetic, together exuding a joyful energy that causes me to feel a similar sensation that I get when I listen to the aforementioned song by El Supremo—I feel like I’m flying, in the best possible way.

Nice topic again @AdamDamon 😎

Nice tunes you shred there, Adam!🤘

I do like alot soaring electric guitar solos and rhythm guitars.

One of my favourites guitar heros are Eddie Van Halen with this intro and solo

Another one is former guitarist of Sonata Arctica, Jani Liimatainen, who made this solo of the Bette Midler cover: The Wind beneath My Wings

I do like alot, when the solos merge with the songs melodies.🎸 🎵

Thanks for sharing, @RayyW0!

I agree that Eddie Van Halen’s intro guitar section and solo in “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love,” as well as the guitar solo in “The Wind Beneath My Wings” by Sonata Arctica, sound really nice and soaring; I listened to these songs, and think that the solos are my favorite part!

Since you mentioned Eddie Van Halen, I’d share another of my favorite artists with you, Mdou Moctar, in case you haven’t listened to his music before, since Mdou Moctar’s guitar technique has been compared to that of Eddie Van Halen in some music reviews I’ve read. Here’s my current favorite song of his:

Never heard this artist before. Really nice!
I Like the riff of the guitar and the solo. Also has a nice tempo. 👍
