The lo-fi phenomena

I'd love to discuss the whole scene of lo-fi artists and playlists the last year has brought upon us. I feel like names such as Chilled Cow and College Music are getting bigger and bigger. There seems to exist a lot of interest coming from producers too, as every new day there are more and more beat tapes complementing the genre as a whole. A quick search over here shows that this forum gets the daily 3 lo-fi playlists at the very least. 

What are your thoughts on this getting more and more popular? 

I am building this selection to shine my love on mah preferred artists. Most are pretty unknown to the world and come from all different places. Have you guys heard  of those? Any suggestions? 

I seriously hope this doesn't become a producer fukfest.
