Hi Aisha17

That's a great thought. As suggested it's worth turning into an idea. Some Spotify playlists have banners and we would like to do the same.

One technical hiccup though. When viewing a banner image between a phone, cropped window using a pc or full screen on a pc. Spotify crops more from the bottom of the image the wider the view. Which means you would need a high quality 4K image to begin with.

What I can do for you now. is show you how to customise the banner colour of your profile and playlists. As I do. Both your profile and playlist backgrounds work the same. Spotify creates a variable shade from top to bottom which is pretty cool,

When you upload a thumbnail image to yoiur profile or playlist. Spotify creates a banner colour to match. So knowing this, the hack is to reverse engineer a thumb that gives you your desired result, Images must be a minimum of 400 pixel X 400 pixel in a 1:1 ratio. They can be larger. I generally use greater than 800 X 800 (pixels).

I use a signature colour on a black background or visa versa. I have a colour settings collage below with the chroma keys on each. You're welcome to download and use the image. What you'll need depends on which picture editor you use (I use the settings for Faststone and Chroma Keys for GIMP), For Canva I think you need the Chroma Key.

You can use photos of flowers or anything else but it;s hard to find the colour setting to replicate the result, For really fancy thumbs search through vector images (e.g. 'Dance Vector')  on Pixabay. 85 Color Settings chroma keys.png
