Hey, great question at the title! 🙂

As a listener, if the songs the artist has put out sound good/interesting to me, I'll stick around and wait for more.

What I am looking for would be some great experimentation or beautiful melodies or awesome percussion or bass, or.. basically something I have never heard before.

In that sense, it is very good if the artist is not afraid of being original instead of trying to follow the same path 10 thousand others have already been trying.

For example (a slightly extreme one though) would be Little Snake. His tunes are insane and great inspiration for both listeners and other artists. For that artist his songs are the best way of living out how he feels in his head.

I am not really a fan of the current rap (labelled as pop rap by everynoise.com). I have heard pretty interesting things, but in some cases the creative ideas are stuck behind exceptionally bad mixing, or in other cases I just forget about them. : )

Your tune is pretty solid though, better than what I have heard elsewhere. 🙂
