Hi everyone,
Have you noticed how cool it is in some songs that they have both male and female vocalist? And on top of that, there's this motif where the male and female voices take turns in singing just like they're having a dialogue (but not always, of course).
I decided to bring up some examples to show you exactly what I have in mind:

Do you know such songs as well? Let me know!
Hey @Ivan - thanks for sharing! Just listening to your tracks now 🤘
A band that immediately comes to mind is Angus & Julia Stone. They're a brother-and-sister folk rock band from Australia who I discovered back in 2016/7.
One song in particular, Heart Beats Slow, has a really catchy male/female dialogue in the verses, before coming together to sing the chorus in harmony:
Here’s a song by Afrobeat band Antibalas, in which the lyrics are sung by a male vocalist as well as multiple female vocalists. The male vocalist and female vocalists in the song take turns telling a story about the plight of a “rat catcher,” who is continuously outsmarted by a rat that he's trying to catch. He builds bigger and bigger cages, and eventually imprisons himself in his cage, rather than the rat. It’s my current favorite track by Antibalas, and I think that the male and female vocalists taking turns singing sound great:
