Here it is: AALLF's Symphonic/Melodic/Epic Metal Playlist

- I wanted to make as balanced and varied a playlist as possible, while keeping cohesion by sticking to a few related sub-genres. Also, to reflect my own personal tastes. The list clocks in at 1 hr 36 minutes.
- I factored in the musical key of each song to make as smooth a transition as possible between tracks when played in order (on PC if you have the free version of Spotify).
- Almost all of the vocals are clean female vocals. There is one song, "Rose for Epona" that has harsh male vocals during the bridge. All lyrics are in English, but there is some variety to be heard in "Traces" (Japanese) and "Voyage Voyage" (French).
- I made a point to balance acoustic tracks, songs with electronic elements, and standard symphonic metal instrumentation. I also have several instrumental tracks in the playlist (Luoto, Aufbruch, Sunset Overture, Lost Beyond Retrieval, and The Wolf). This way, the ear doesn't fatigue from loud, bombastic songs, or songs with singers all of the time.
- I made a point also to balance well-known bands (Nightwish, Delain, Within Temptation, Edenbridge, etc.) to not so well known (Since Ever, Tellteller, Everything Goes On, Shirogami, etc.). I have a few Melodic Death Metal bands in the list, but don't worry for those who do not like harsh vocals. I chose instrumental tracks from these bands (Omnium Gatherum, Mors Principium Est.), and these tracks blend very well with the others. I also have only 1 song per band or solo artist to give the greatest variety possible.
- Also, I make my own music and included 1 track of mine, "Fable" in the playlist. I hope you don't mind.
I hope I did a good job with this playlist and that you are able to enjoy it! I spent many hours putting it together, and perhaps it will be a new and unique experience for you!
