What songs would be in your geography themed playlist (city, state, country, etc.) in the title? This really combines my love of geography/travel with music. Here is mine:
a few backstories:
Indonesia - this song is about a Christian missionary to a remote tribe in Indonesia, David Clapper, married, father of 4, who died in a plane crash while he was returning from the hospital after dropping off a patient from the tribe. His plane crashed into the side of a mountain (in Indonesia). This song is a tribute to him. Love the song & meaning and the passion behind it.
Sedona - this song reminds me of a family vacation to Arizona a few years back. We flew into Phoenix late afternoon. By the time we got to our hotel in Sedona it was already dark. We woke up the next morning and stepped outside and were blown away by the red rock formations. We LOVED Sedona, and this cool tune brings back memories of that trip.
Detroit Rock City - the first album (record) I can ever remember is Double Platinum by Kiss. I was 5, living in Blaine, WA. This record was a library loan (I think), and I don’t remember if it was my dad’s choice or if I asked for it because of the cool embossed silver cover with the band in their traditional face paint. In any case, I really liked the music.
