Hello !
The Winter Room - " Losing the paper moon " ( 2012 )
The Winter Room : This Winter Room is my "write whatever I want" solo studio project. After learning about songwriting from the great artists I’ve toured with (The Alternate Routes, Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, Luke Brindley, Schiavone McGee, and The B-Film Extras), I've come up with a dozen, or so, songs I wanted to share. Over the years, I've been lucky to be surrounded by extremely gifted songwriters and they’ve taught me all I know about the writing process. Ever since I first heard Ben Folds's "Rockin' the Suburbs" in college, I’ve wanted to make a record where I played all the instruments myself. I came pretty close on "Losing the Paper Moon". While my main instrument is bass, I picked up the drums, guitar, piano, and, pretty much anything with strings, while playing with different groups. I learned whatever was needed at the time. I wrote a few of the song ( noisetrade.com )

Hello !!
Ai Phoenix make sublimely natural, romantically old-fashioned pop-folk. They’re like the big, colorful quilt your grandmother made by hand, not the one you’d buy at the department store.( Kevin Renick )
Excellent cover of " Moulin Rouge "

Setting Sun ( 55 Followers )
Gary Levitt's work as Setting Sun is at once a triumph of the modern 21st century solo artist -- nearly everything is recorded and played by himself, though there are guests at various points on Fantasurreal -- and a reflection of its potential limitations. Now that "indie rock" has taken on a certain codified air of politeness and general tastefulness in form, hearing an album that only slightly tests those boundaries feels frustrating, no matter how accomplished and polished it sounds. A song like "Don't Grow Up" starts out with what is almost a parody of that form -- a big-sounding, very politely sung number heavy with meaningfulness and just-rough-enough-sounding edges. It isn't quite neo-Supertramp but it's not that far removed.( Allmusic )

Unbunny - 368 Followers ( Fantastic !!! )
Unbunny began in 1995 with the release of the Analog cassette. The Willis Files cassette followed in 1996. Analog and The Willis Files were re-released in 1997 on CD, on Tray Full of Lab Mice Records and Esque Records, respectively. Guitarist/vocalist Jarid del Dio quickly turned heads with his high-pitched, emotionally raw vocals, while drummer James Ess and guitarist Steve Haruch provided support for the lo-fi indie rock trio. Salt Water Records released the band's five-song vinyl single in 1997, and 1998 saw the release of Fission Romance the West on Oakland, CA's Paris Caramel Records. The album was later re-released by Esque and Two-Ton Santa Records. Esque released the For Nervous Plants EP in 1999. The self-released Book and Roll EP appeared in 2001. The band briefly changed its name to Nervous Plants for a split release with Milkweed on Two-Ton Santa later in 2001. The band relocated from Washington State to Illinois for the release of Black Strawberries in October 2002, again on Two-Ton Santa. In 2004, Unbunny released Snow Tires, this time on Hidden Agenda Records, and followed up with Moon Food in 2010.( Allmusic )

Salim Nourallah ( 236 Followers )
Born in Alton, Illinois on May 3, 1967, the eldest child of Fayez and Karen Nourallah, Nourallah was raised in El Paso, Texas, where his family moved when he was three. With his brother Faris, Salim relocated to Denton, Texas, in 1988. The formed a band together called the Moon Festival from 1990 to 1997. The Nourallah Brothers self-titled debut was released by Western Vinyl in 2000. The album was actually recorded in 1998, and during the wait the brothers separated. Faris continued with a solo career while Salim formed the pop-punk band the Happiness Factor. The Happiness Factor released two albums: Self-Improvement? (Summer Break Records) in 2001 and Avoid Danger (Paisley Pop) in 2004.
In 2004 Salim started his solo career as a recording artist with Polaroid (Western Vinyl) and the EP A Way to Your Heart (Paisley Pop). He went on to release the critically acclaimed[by whom?] Beautiful Noise (Western Vinyl/Tapete Records) in 2005, followed by Snowing in My Heart (Tapete Records) in 2007 and Constellation in 2009.[citation needed] After the German indie label Tapete Records released Beautiful Noise in the spring of 2006 a headlining European tour followed. It was capped with an appearance at Hamburg's Reeperbahn Festival. Salim's third album Snowing in My Heart, yielded the single "Don't Be Afraid," which appeared on HBO's show The Wire and "So Down," which appeared on Smallville. Another European tour followed in the Fall of 2007 with performances not only throughout Germany but also in Paris, Vienna, and Switzerland. In May 2009 a third European tour took place to coincide the release of Constellation.[ Wikipedia ]

Eyelit ( 134 Followers )
Eyelit is driven by the husband-and-wife team of Austin and Dansare Marks. The couple shares a chemistry that comes through their folky compositions ( The deli )
Eyelit is an Alternative/Folk band based out of Saint Joseph, Missouri. They formed in early 2008 after Austin and Dansare realized they enjoyed singing together; later adding trumpet (Sam Stephen), Banjo (Ryan Johnson), and percussion (Tyler Saxton). Recently, they have been experimenting with effects, electric guitar, and keys, which sounds more poppy/dreamy. ( Bandcamp )
Bonus : A beautiful and sweet cover of "I want you to want me" from "cheap trick" (1977)

Hello !
Rickard Jäverling ( 79 followers ???? )
The sound a late summer heat haze would make if it was prone to a bit of meandering folk, Rickard Javerling's debut album 'Two Times Five Lullaby' is a gorgeous smudge of soft centered song writing that will delight anyone who prefers the finer things in life... Originally from Stockholm but having spent time in Ireland and Glasgow, Javerling's sound is as rootless as his traveling would suggest - pulling in influences from American folk traditions, Chicago post-rock and Swedish prog, ( http://boomkat.com )

Dave Shur is a master of taking somberness and peppering it with giddiness and goofballery. He’s a melodic acrobat who can lull you into a folksy, dreamlike haze then snap you right out of it with a subtle assault of pop bliss that teeters on bubblegum without losing its flavor. ( wweek.com )

Hot Head Show (220 followers)
I started to listen to these guys from London before going to a Les Claypool gig where they were the opening act.
With a cross-over of everything from rock, punk and pop to jazz and blues, tempo changes as tight live as on record, and funny lyrics and stage show, I stood watching them with a big smile from ear to ear the whole concert.
I really, really hope these guys will make it!
