Spotify has a lot of amazing, undiscovered artists. Some of them just need a push into the spotlight.
So in this thread you can recommend your favorite artists with less than 500 followers.
To insert a Spotify Play Button just:
1. Pick a track from the artist/ band.
2. Right click and select Copy Embed Code.
3. Paste it in the HTML tab on your community post.
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Psyence Fiction (34 followers). Recommended to me by @Jamie

Case Studies ( 223 Followers )
The Dutchess and the Duke was a folk band formed in Seattle, Washington, by singer-songwriters Jesse Lortz and Kimberly Morrison. Their music has been compared to the raw garage rock of the early 1960s.
The Dutchess and the Duke disbanded in October 2010.
Lortz released an album with his new project, Case Studies, in August 2011, titled "The World is Just a Shape to Fill the Night" and then "This Is Another Life" in 2013.

Hello!
Luke Sweeney ( 18 Followers )
It’s time to get happy with Luke Sweeney. There’s a playful element to his music, which is also heavily dosed with psychedelic rock.
His first solo release, “Ether Ore,” came out in January 2013. The current band came together a year later, and they are supporting Sweeney with his latest release, “Adventure: Us,” which came out earlier this month. ( sfgate.com )

Great post, im a big fan of The Eastern
best band bio i have ever read too:
The Eastern are a string band that roars like a punk band, that swings like a gospel band, that drinks like a country band, that works like a bar band, that hopes like folk singers, and sings love songs like union songs, and writes union songs like love songs, and wants to slow dance and stand on tables, all at the same time. Whether roaring as their big six piece string band or swinging the loud lonesome sound as a two piece and averaging over 200 shows a year, The Eastern can hold it down in all settings for all comers.
Having been to one of their gigs I can still say it was one of the funnest nights I can remember - recommend "cellular sellout blues" track.
