Sharing a spotify account

My wife and I share one spotify account but we can only listen to one playlist on one device at the same time. How can we play different playlists on two different devices? A family account for up to 6 people is not necessary as we are only two.

The best for you is to upgrade your premium account to a premium duo account. You can get it by checking your account profile there > https://www.spotify.com/us/account/subscription/change/

So you can’t share an account with your partner if you don’t live with them? And furthermore sharing an account does not allow you to listen separately??
