This morning on my way to work I selected a Playlist and choose it random (something that I hardly do anymore) and the third or fourth song was this
spotify:track:5ScJfyHUJPlyd2xSOKmuY7:small
As soon as start playing I knew the song but can't remember neither the artist or the song name, but yes it gives me goosebumps, wich is your song or songs that work in this way for you?
Both excellent tracks, I also like the Killers cover to Romeo and Juliet...

i dont know when the confusion or guilt will dissappear. it causes hurt but at the same time it makes me learn a lesson. but sometimes that lesson isnt fully understood and the same mistake is made again. i over think and over think, over and over and over. this is my escape. making playlists. it makes me forget and escape reality. but i wanted to make a playlists that expresses all of my emotions at once. maybe its an emotion that something from the past caused. maybe its something im afraid of feeling in the future. but its all in this playlist for you to hear and possibly understand.
1. fears & feels.

20 minute prog rock, the swell about two minutes in ("someone's callin' me~") makes me stop whatever i'm doing every time i hear it, though the goosebumps return throughout the song, if they dont just persist. Truly epic horns, beautiful strings and more than a few surprises make this quite a journey, not nearly as much a chore as one might think considering the runtime.

Cool thread, @Jpgchief!
One track that has had this effect for me in the past is “Parahorizon” from Spaceslug’s Time Travel Dilemma album:

More recently I discovered “Silver Buddha Dreaming” by Robot God, which sometimes gives me goosebumps when I listen to it as well:

Cheers!
Lately I’ve been enjoying listening to this song, “Goat Smoking Blues” by Belzebong, and I’ve noticed that I sometimes get goosebumps when hearing it as well—particularly soon after the 3-minute mark, during the guitar solo that begins at around that time in the track.
spotify:track:6Lp5kXorQI7cDeRACDBbH5:small
Perhaps the intensity of emotion conveyed by the guitar melodies during this solo resonate strongly with me, or perhaps this chilling sensation could be more so attributed to the lead guitar’s timbre, which I think sounds distant and spectral, characterized by the use of a wah-pedal and probably other effects as well. I also think there’s a nice juxtaposition of these airy soloing guitar melodies with the heavily-fuzzed rhythm guitar’s chord progression, which could be contributing to the way I react when hearing this part of the song as well.
In any case, since I don’t notice this phenomenon very often when listening to music, I thought I’d share about this other song as well in your thread, @Jpgchief, and I hope you’re having a great week.
Cheers!
I have a playlist based on this feeling, check it out if you like!
