What Weird But Awesome Songs Do You Know?

Hi there!! I'm a music enthusiast and I LOVE discovering new/unusual songs. I've put 2 of my playlists down below if you're curious, but if you know any weird songs, please enlighten me! Anyways, enjoy! ☀️😄

This playlist is just a bunch of bands with good music and interesting names I've seen.

~cool band names~

This one is a collection of songs I like that don't really belong to a specific genre/mood that I know of.

the dinosaur in me 😌

This playlist is full of songs (that I think) are about making change.

activism!!!

Here’s a weird one for ya. I like it though! It’s like a short story/distorted guitar marriage.

Great topic, @Spooked8!

I’d say that what’s considered “weird” in music probably varies from person to person quite a bit, but I’ll share a song from my Spotify library that seems weird at least to me: “Tarkus” by the progressive rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer, released in 1971.

As I’ve found to be relatively common in the prog-rock music that I’ve listened to, “Tarkus” features a lot of shifts in tempo, rhythm, melody etc., which can sometimes make songs in this genre overwhelming for me to listen to. However, in the case of “Tarkus,” somehow with each new “movement” in the song, however strange or ridiculous it seems, my appreciation of the song is not diminished.
