Crocodiles - Boys  ( 2015 )

Crocodiles are a noise pop/indie pop band from San Diego, California, USA. The group was formed in 2008 by core members Brandon Welchez and Charles Rowell after the break-up of their former punk bands Some Girls and The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower. Crocodiles' sound has typically been likened to The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Archies, Tommy James & The Shondells, and Gary Glitter.
Whilst at the same time playing in an early incarnation of Dum Dum Girls (Welchez is married to frontwoman Dee Dee Penny), Crocodiles initially gained exposure in 2008 after fellow Southern California noise pop band No Age included their single "Neon Jesus" in a list of the year's best songs. This led to the duo being signed to Mississippi-based label Fat Possum Records, who released the band's self-recorded debut album Summer of Hate, in April 2009. ( Wikipedia )

The Tallest Man On Earth - Dark Bird Is Home  ( 2015 )

Kristian Matsson (born April 30, 1983) is a singer-songwriter from Dalarna, Sweden who performs under the stage name of The Tallest Man on Earth. Since 2006, he has released three full-length albums and two EPs. Mattson is known for recording and producing his own records in whichever home he is currently living and states that the connection between his voice and guitar is so strong, he rarely records them as separately tracked performances. On February 10, 2015, Dead Oceans - the label to which Mattson is signed announced that a fourth LP - "Dark Bird is Home" will be released on May 12, 2015. The tracks featured on the new album were reportedly written and recorded by Mattson whilst travelling since his last release in 2012. Dark Bird is Home is anticipated to be Mattson at his most personal and direct, with the album said to carry a "weather worn" weight to them. He is also known both by critics and his fans for his charismatic stage presence. ( Wikipedia )

Young Jesus - Grow / Decompose ( 2015 )

The initially Chicago-based indie rock band Young Jesus released their debut album Home in 2012, and were basically ready to break up not long after that until frontman John Rossiter moved to LA and ended up writing its followup. He says the album is "the product of one of those heavy moments of confusion and depression," adding, "Essentially, I thought I knew a lot, I realized I knew nothing. Classic angst."
Home's followup is called Grow / Decompose, and is due out next week (5/13) via Hellhole Supermarket (pre-order). That's the artwork above, with a picture of Rossiter in drag as one of the album's main characters, Neil. Three tracks from the new album have been released so far, and a fourth called "Milo" makes its premiere in this post. "Milo" has roots in '90s slowcore and early '00s home-recorded indie, and it's propelled by the kind of anthemic melody that feels instantly familiar without sounding like anything in particular. Grow / decompose.... A great album

Hello !

Tigercats -  Mysteries ( 2015 )

Tigercats are a band from East London.
Mysteries is the second album from Tigercats, described by The Sunday Times in a review of their 2012 debut Isle of Dogs (Fika Recordings) as “a very, very good band…. The kind of band that make you want to be a teenager again, so they can be your band.” Isle of Dogs fizzed with jangly punk, afro rhythms and spoken word sections, while Mysteries is a sophisticated pop record, effervescent and spirited, with care and love poured into every song.
