Music removal

Hey Guys,

Wonder why the album Future Boy, by Cicero has been removed from your catalogue of music?

Thanks

When I lookup the album using the metadata tool it doesn't list any countries under the "territories" section.

It could mean that the album is temporarily unavailable, which sometimes happens to albums.

Or it could mean it has been removed.

Hi, and welcome to the community!

Please note that for Spotify to have music on their servers; they require the permissions from the record label. The chances are that the record label have removed the permissions from Spotify, which means that Spotify can't have the music. Spotify make everything they have available to us, so hopefully it will appear soon! There is a chance it is to upload an updated version or fix some metadata in which case it will appear again soon.

You can also check out the Music FAQ which has some more information.

The reason is that the artist or their music label has decided to remove it from Spotify.

The availability of songs on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.
Spotify has no control over what content is available.

Sometimes albums are only available in certain countries, while access is blocked to others.
Sometimes the album or song will be unavailable temporary, and come back again later.

Cheers lads,

Whilst I appreciate your response, I know for a fact this is not the case with this musician as I'm aware that Cicero himself is the owner of the content, and has given permission for this content to be on Spotify.

Is there any way this can be looked in to further to have the content added again?

Thanks

Cheers Matt.

If it was the country that was causing this, how would I go about getting that updated?

Does it need to be the artist/record label themselves that arrange this?

Thanks,

Andy

The artist / their record label would have to update it.

Most record labels use a publishing service that delivers the music to all the major music stores (Spotify, iTunes ... etc)

There must have been a setting or something that changed with the publisher to make the album not available anymore.

Usually changes like this are not accidental and are intentional.

You'll have to contact the artist if you want more information on why their album is no longer available.
