Marantz SR5009, connect doesn't work any more

Marantz SR5009, connect doesn't work any more

Suddenly connect on my Marantz AVR SR5009 stop working.

I am (still) able to stream by Airplay, listen to inter radio, ect..., however when switching

over from the Ipad to the AVR I have three seconds of music and then it stops. This display indicates

waiting, connecting and then online...

 

The setup:

Cable modem in bridge modus to Netgear Nighthawk.

Fixid IP assigned by the router to the AVR and port forwarding for Spotify enabled.

 

On every apparatus spotify works just fine. According to the ISP everything is OK and working fine.

The Marantz indicates that the connection is ok, etc...

 

Who knows what's wrong and can solve he problem...?

I do have similar issues with an SR6009; few seconds of music and then no connection anymore. Internet radio en network media can still be used without problems. Spotify, please fix this issue, we are paying customers and can't use the service paid for!!!!!

TomatoRage , that kind of tuning it's good but QoS work often only with outbound traffic. In the Spotify Connect case the data is inbounding (come from spotify server to our network) so the router can't prioritize the data

All songs played ok.

 

Note: I have done a change to my routersettings - opened port 4070. (I don't know if this have any effect)

I already had port forwading switched on to het rid of cluttering.

However I noted spotify was tuning fine from my iPhone, but not from my iPad.

difference appeared to be the iOS version. Now I have updated to 8.4.1 it seems to

work fine again.

Great! 

I am awaiting a reply from Spotify, I asked for a feedback if/when the problem is solved.

It's really weird that some songs do play with connect, but some don't

 

Try Fun lovin' Criminals...... Not working...

The songs ArildR mentioned do work on my system

 

Maybe the explicit songs have a problem?

edit: Oh no... Marilyn Manson plays fine, but Fun lovin' Criminals keeps giving me problems......

Sometimes its a mistake to have good taste 😛

 

I stream from an ios 8.4.1 device or a macbook... doesn't make a difference.

Yes, weird indeed.

Now I've streamed a playlist for like an hour with no problems.

could there be a problem with the coding in some songs.....

Is spotify using a new coding to stream the music?

Both my Marantz receivers SR6009 and NR1605 are working again. Marantz Germany support has also informed me that the issue has been fixed.

Everything works fine here again.

tested all mentoren songs.

I can play everything again.(Fun Lovin' Criminals and Can't feel my face)

 

On the 27th I contacted support with the following:

Until a few days ago I didn't have any problems with spotify connect. But now when I try to connect to my Marantz SR6009(firmware 1600-4461-6020) from my iPhone (8.4.1) or macbook (el capitan beta) I can play some songs (e.g. Jamiroquai,Creed) but not Fun Lovin' Criminals.

I didn't change any settings.

How is this possible?

And I got the following reply:

" We zijn bewust van het probleem en zijn bezig om te onderzoeken wat de oorzaak is. Zodra we meer informatie hebben zullen we contact met je opnemen." 

Translated: We are aware of the problem and working on it. As soon we have more information we will contact you again.

 

 

But again. Everything here is working fine now..

Great that Spotify Connect is working again, a week without is a long time.

I tested the track Can't Feel My Face by Weeknd late yesterday, and it worked with no problems. 🙂

I have just an brand new Marantz 8005. It give more than one problem.Most of those problems i can solve for a while with a complete reset to default factory settings of the machine (unplug it from teh electrical contact, wait for a few seconds pusch on enter + mode en reconnect at the same time). Somethimes i c'ant play my i pod, then again no spotify, then radio is bloking, *flac files where not recognized etc Until now my DLNA server is a complete dissaster.   Good luc .

got marantz Sr7009 some times it works and some times  it dont work i realy F hate this i love use spotify and pay 10 euro for it but this is just f up after so long time that this problem is stil not fix
