Problem with adding songs to my lists

Where can I get help for a Spotify problem?   I spent a large part of my day setting up and populating my lists but some are empty.  It took me a lot of time to search for songs or artists I wanted, especially since I was looking for a lot of songs from forty to sixty years old.  I am seriously ticked that all that time was wasted.  I used 'add to'  to put songs on my lists.  Most of the time it worked just fine.  However with some lists, even though everything looked like it had worked okay, when I went back into them nothing was there!!!!!   I use Spotify on my desktop with Windows 8.1.  I upgraded my account to premium today because I was able to find most of the oldies I wanted;  but if this is going to be an ongoing problem then I will go elsewhere fomy music.  I had unresolvable technical issues with Pandora and left there. 

An aside:  As a former programmer I just don't understand how so many products are so buggy and/or poorly designed.  Does anyone know why?  I would have never been allowed to turn in a product like that.  I thought the younger generation was supposed to be so technically savy.
