My Question or Issue

As of recently, whenever I switch between my phone and google home mini or vice versa, whatever playlist I am listening to starts back from the beginning. This happens on regular playlists, a song radio, daily mix etc. It used to pick up where it left off, so it seems like something changed recently.

Im sorry for the video, I got it fixed, it should be accessible now. For the devices it applies to basically everything. In the video in particular happens when Im switching between my phone and PC and reversed. But usually it happens with every device. Every time i reconnect my headphones the spotify queue goes back.

We really appreciate all the info you have sent us. Just to confirm:

  • Does this happen only when your phone is connected to your headphones and changes the playback between computer and phone?
  • We noticed you've activated the shuffle. Does this happen when the feature is disabled?
  • Would you mind sharing with us the make/model and OS of the affected devices?
  • Send us the exact Spotify version you're running.
  • Does this happen if you open a different account on the affected device? You can ask for the account of a relative or a friend to open your account and check.

Folks, if you notice this is still happening on your end, make sure to send us the make/models and OS of the affected devices, along with a video recording of the issue. You  can attach the videos to your next reply in mp4 format, or upload them to YouTube or Google Drive and make them public. Keep in mind we'll need you to send us this info in order for us to continue investigating further.

Hey all - whatever update or "fix" that occurred, did NOT work for me.  The only thing that has "worked" for me is to just pick a random song in my Liked Songs playlist and start all over when I change devices.  I really don't have the time or the patience to create a video lol

Other devices that I use and have noticed this happening are car systems and TVs. I havent tried without shuffling, but I always use the shuffle option, so even if it works without it, its not much of a use to me... So my PC is on windows 10 latest version and my phone is on android and its Samsung S23. Phone version is 9.0.84.1338 and PC is 1.2.74.477.g3be53afe. I haven't tried using another account, because my friends have also complained of this problem, but I guess I will try just in case...
