I have noticed that recently, people has started including ads in their podcasts. Not as an actual ad, but as a segment of the original sound file. Am I the only one that thinks it is quite dissapointing to pay almost $20 a month, mostly to not get ads and still get them?

I believe there should be some rule disallowing this.

One thing to consider: It's difficult to enforce this type of restriction on free entertainment. Remember that the podcast producers aren't usually working directly with Spotify. They just distribute with the service (among others). If you want to avoid ads entirely, look for podcasts that are fully owned by Spotify. Those should have disabled ads when you buy the premium membership. I hope this helps!
