Spotify caching an old podcast episode

We publish episodes on Soundcloud, which pull through to Apple and Spotify.

One episode went live accidentally and needed editing, which we did. That corrected version on Soundcloud has pulled through to Apple but not Spotify. Despite deactivating the episode for a week, Spotify keeps republishing the old/incorrect/cached version. Note that the cache problem is on Spotify, not the user's side. How do we get around this, or is the only way going to be to create a completely new link/episode on SoundCloud?
