Can't join family group

My husband has just got the family premium package and invited me to join. I've been given an invitation code, but when I go to put my email in I'm being told it already in use. I must have registered years ago but never activated it (certainly have never paid for Spotify) I've been sent a password reminder but how do I now add myself to our family account?

I have a similar problem. I have Spotify on my pc as part of a family group and am trying to join on my new macbook pro laptop. I have an invitation number but, have forgatten my password. When I ask to reset my password I get told that I am trying to log on using Facebook info, which is not true. Keep going around in circles!
