Help with Family Premium and opinions about it

I'm thinking about getting a family premium package, but my mother in law had the worst experience ever with it. She purchased it in order to be able to use it with my boyfriend, his brother and a few other family members that lived in their home.

After a few months of using it, Spotify froze all of their accounts, and they had to go back to basic. After a while my brother in law was able to get back the premium account (for he had the principal account), but my mother in law is stuck paying a family premium subscription that they can't use even if they live together. I wanted to see some other opinions on this option and learn more about it (already read all that's available about it), eg how does the address verification works, etc.
