No reminder email for student plan as promised

My Question or Issue
I joined the Student Plan $5.99/month last year, and after verifying my student identity on SheerID, the last page told me that Spotify would send me a reminder email to renew my student verification a month before its year expiration.
I received no email and only saw its deadline when the Premium Individual plan charged me $11.99 yesterday, which is already too late.
I went through SheerID again, and got the same page about Spotify being responsible for a month-prior reminder.
The main reason why this is an issue is b/c the Student Plan will not activate until next month now, and it is having me pay for the Premium Individual price for this month, due to the lack of a reminder email.
Any help for how to honor my original plan's payment and have Spotify prioritize these reminder emails would be greatly appreciated!

I submitted a very long paragraph to the Spotify Support chat, only to be met with replies that clearly did not understand my question.
In Support chat: "Hello, I did not receive a reminder for renewing my student identity through Sheer ID from Spotify a month before the student plan's renewal date as it states is promised after the verification is complete. It was after the pending payment for Premium Individual of $11.99 showed up on my checking account that I was notified of its end and though I have now renewed my student plan, it will not start until the next month and I seem to be paying for the premium individual price for this month due to no reminder email, instead of the student plan's $5.99.
I checked my emails in the email account attached to my Spotify, including junk, promotion folders, and advanced search, as well as the notifications I have turned on through Spotify, and believe that I should have received an email a month before my plan's expiration as promised from the verification statement every student sees on Sheer (seen both last year and this year as I renewed my status -- its words saying specifically that an email is sent from Spotify, not Sheer). How can Spotify help me to pay only what I should have if there had been an email, and promote this issue high enough that it is recognized and every college student receives an email from now on to help honor their special student subscription?"
