The last film I watched was PTA's Licorice Pizza. There were a few specific (and avoidable) decisions that were made that I won't get into...but if altered, this film would have been flawless for me.

BUT

I stand by this. Every great movie has a GREAT soundtrack...and the Licorice Pizza soundtrack is a masterpiece.

I'm just about to sit down to Ozark Season 4 on Netflix which came out today. I discovered the show a month ago, binged Seasons 1-3, and am now so ready for the final season 😬

They use music to great effect throughout the series - they must have forked out quite a bit of dough for the rights, with artists like Radiohead, Amy Winehouse, Kanye, not to mention a bunch of oldies (Sinatra, The Beatles, Pink Floyd).

This song gives a sense of the general vibe of the show, which come to think of it has some Tarantino-esque moments (gruesome murders set to classic tracks like this one):

Big fan of the books! Hopeful for the show to find its rhythm in season 2 and beyond! I do like Rafe as the showrunner though! Its no small task to adapt that series to television.

I've been watching this Korean time travel show. It's dubbed in English, and pretty well. I didn't watch it for the music, and I don't know what I think about it, because I don't listen to that type of music, but here's the first song of the soundtrack.

So far, I definitely recommend the show.

I’ve just recently managed to go and see the new Matrix movie. I’m a big fan of the original but didn’t expect much from this sequel. It was full of nice throwbacks and that's about it 😁

Also just finished watching After Life with Ricky Gervais. Really good series worth checking out. Has a great soundtrack too

I got tempted into watching the trailer after your description @jrham, it looks like a very promising movie indeed!

No spoilers, but what does licorice pizza have to do with the story? Such an interesting title choice 🍕

Umbrella Academy is a really good one!! I should probably start re-watching it too before season 3 rolls out! 🌂

@Katerina Licorice Pizza is actually the name of a record store in Las Angeles that was open in the 70's and 80's when Paul Anderson (the director of the movie) was a kid. The movie is based a lot on his experience growing up in LA.

I just finished Pasion de Gavilanes. It's a Colombian soap opera hehe didn't expect much but it was pretty enjoyable and less cheesy and more serious and well crafted than expected.
