My Question or Issue

I am making a simple Android app relying on the Spotify SDK. I tried to make the sample app work from here: https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/android/tutorials/getting-started#prepare-your-environme...

When I run my app (on my actual physical device), neither the onConnected nor onFailure callback method gets triggered once I try to connect to my Spotify App - nothing happens. The authorization request is for sure made, but the control does not get back to my callback methods.

I see no errors in the logs, however, I see a bunch of warnings like:

Unable to resolve Lcom/spotify/protocol/types/HelloDetails; annotation class 949

The fingerprint, client ID and redirect URI are registered on the Developer Dashboard.

Any idea what might go wrong?

Hi., we have the same issue. Do you already found a fix?

I am having a similar issue - in my case, a debug build (using ReactNative with Metro) is working - I was able to connect, auth and play using the SDK, but a release build fails - auth flow is not working, Spotify app does not seem to launch and I get the above lines in my logs.
